| I have been using Woodlawn Kennels now for a few years since we had some bad experiences with one of the doggy day care places near Tysons. The drive to Alexandria is worth it, (just 20 mins from Vienna, right off 495/95/7100/route 1) and they just announced "rollback" prices - lowering all of their boarding rates to match the economy. At first we were boarding just our German Shepard at Woodlawn but recently boarded both our GSD and our toy poodle (in the same run) and they both came back happy dogs... just like our GSD always comes back from Woodlawn Kennels. The dogs arrive back home and eat and poop normally, very relaxed. Not all stressed out, nor dehydrated. -> just normal; which is what I would expect, but haven't always experienced with other boarding options. I'm convinced that Woodlawn Kennels is doing right by my dogs when they board there. Thanks guys, keep up the good work and you will find more happy clients like myself. Dave |

Me and my husband love Woodlawn Kennel our two dogs have been coming for years. We refer all of our friends they have great deals and really take care of our pets. They have a really great staff that explains everything even though we have been coming for years... Pace

Highly recommended 5 star James F. If you're looking for a place to board your dog for a couple of days, this is the place. They seem to genuinely care for the pets, and seem to take care of them real well. Their prices are also extremely reasonable. Depending on the weight of your pet, you will pay a reasonable daily fee for boarding. For a little extra, you can purchase other services, such as playtime. Pickup and dropoff is not a problem. I highly recommend this kennel for your needs! |
| All I have to say is good things about this place. We sent our dog, who was a year old at the time, to Woodlawn Kennel's2 week doggie bootcamp. We had just adopted him and he was a terror - chewed everything and lunged, growled, and bit other dogs when we walked him. He came back a changed dog. We couldn't believe it and everyone that knew him before he went to bootcamp will tell you the same thing. The difference was amazing. He was trained by Tati - Tati was incredible and such a genuinely nice guy. You could tell he really cared about the dogs he was with and really knew what he was doing. After the 2 weeks were up, we had some in-house training as well (part of the package) where Tati came to us. He was a lifesaver. Our Rufus is a changed pup. Also, Rufus loved it. He whined in the car when we picked him up to take him home!!! This is really a great place to take your pet.
I had to ship my pet to Africa for a relocation of my work and he helped me move and transfer to new location while being able to quartine my dog for 5 days. I hope that if I need this again they will help also. "jene b."
Stephanie K. 5 star Good price + Happy Dog=Happy Doggie Mommy My dog is 14, deaf and blind. She is also extremely needy (I take full responsibility for this!) She hates to be "left" when we go away for a weekend. I have tried many pet motels, a pet resort, and leaving her with families, to no avail. She always cried and howled pitifully when we returned. Woodlawn Kennels has good prices and our dog always comes back very happy. The staff knows the dogs by name after their first visit, they are friendly, helpful, and obviously love animals. I highly, highly recommend this place! PROS: Good Prices, and Friendly, Animal-loving staff
